We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) to join the Ipswich Youth Pathway supporting young people from age 14 -25 years of age. We work closely with family/carers, Education Department, social care and various other agencies. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team supported by our friendly and skilled practitioners. We will support your with your learning needs and you will be offered regular management supervision and also access to clinical supervision.
We work with young people who present with severe and enduring mental health needs/distresses, our aim to support and enable people to recover from their ill health and learn new skills and techniques to manage and cope with their distresses. We support our service user to access education, work and various other therapeutic activities. We have access to Psychiatrists, CBT Therapist, Psychologist and other therapies within NSFT. We use a holistic and recovery focused approach to care, involving service users and carers in care planning and risk management. We offer various psychologically informed intervention which is provided by practitioners in the team.
We also provide an Early Intervention (EI) service within the team which is still developing and growing. If you were appointed to this post you will be fully supported with an induction period and there will also be training opportunity to further enhance your skills and knowledge. We will support you to complete your care certificate training within the 1st year of employment. You will also have opportunity to visit other team whilst you are completing your induction.
