The Company
ATA Recruitment is working with a leading provider of testing services for a great range of industries including military, defence, rail and telecoms. They have multiple sites across the UK, the Malvern site specialises in electronic testing of mainly military and aerospace systems, ensuring they meet the relevant standards for the environment they are going into.
Due to product testing becoming more and more stringent my client is inundated with business, so much so the environmental arm of the business achieved a record turnover last year and are already on track to beat that in 2018. As a business they pride themselves on bringing on board graduate engineers, developing them through the business helping them to become experts in the field and achieve their long-term goals.

The Role
The role of Graduate Sales Engineer will involve:
Dealing with enquiries for EMC Testing for Military and Aerospace.
EMC Testing is required for any device that has electronics on it and could interfere with other products.
Engaging with clients to understand scope of testing required, standards required, timescale, budget and identifies all technical requirements to allow a quote to be produced.
Asking technical questions include what bands the product operates at, what frequency modulations, output power of the product, what cables it has connected to it.
Using the internal costing programme to find out what the proposed cost would be to the client to carry out the tests required.
Going back to customer inside 48 hours with a quote.
Closing the order with the customer to win the business.
The Person
To be successful as a Graduate Sales Engineer you will need:
A degree in an engineering, science or business studies related subject.
My client is also open to candidates who have business related degrees who are technically minded individuals.
You will need to be a target driven individual who is motivated by excellent customer service and problem solving within a commercial engineering environment.
