We have a vacancy which would suit someone looking to start or progress their career in first and second line IT helpdesk support. The role, known internally as “IS Consultant” is responsible for providing first and second line IT support, via a help/service desk to the 300 staff at Esri UK. You will work as part of the Information Solution (IS) team of 11 staff and be based in the Esri UK headquarters in Aylesbury. We are looking for a someone ideally with at least 1 year of experience. To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate experience working as a desktop Support Analyst / Service Desk Analyst / IT Support Analyst etc in a similar sized organisation with experience in the following areas:

• Windows 10
• Active Directory
• Office 365
• Exchange
• Desktop, laptop and mobile device setup, configuration and support
• Server and desktop patching

The role would potentially suit a Junior / Graduate IT Support professional who is looking to progress their career.

Responsibilities
• Support users face to face and remotely via Skype for Business
• Ensure all calls to the service desk are logged and responded to within pre-set service levels
• Verify information back to the customer on the call details ensuring that all the relevant information is entered into the call logging system in a clear and concise format
• Play an active role within the service desk team remaining flexible to support others during busy periods
• Actively strive to improve technical ability by self-study, organised in-house training and attendance of external courses
• Regular travel to other offices (Dublin, Edinburgh, Cambridge) as required (typically once every other month)
• Promoting the use of Office 365 apps to the wider business

Requirements
The successful candidate should have the following capabilities:

• An ability to learn quickly, and consistently and accurately follow agreed processes and procedures with minimal assistance
• Attention to detail on all tasks
• The ability to work as part of a team – proactively recognising where help and assistance is needed within the service desk
• Outgoing and friendly individual with the confidence to build a rapport with fellow team members and other staff and provide excellent customer service
• Good fault analysis and troubleshooting experience
• Able to recognise and direct unresolved issues to the next level of support in a timely manner
• A full driving licence
• Passionate about IT and is looking for a long-term role
• Keen to learn
