What are you doing this summer?
At GCHQ, we work closely with other intelligence agencies to keep the nation safe. We work against unique, complex threats – everything from terror plots, cyber-attacks and criminal threats. So how about you spend your summer learning from world-class cyber experts? Or learning how your tech skills could protect the UK?
Our Cyber Insights Summer of Learning offers just that. This fascinating and rewarding ten-week programme allows you to gain unique insights into the world of cyber security. Plus, you’ll explore how your tech passion could help protect the UK. You’ll learn from a supportive team, work on real projects and develop your problem-solving skills.
In a collaborative environment, you’ll see how we use innovative technologies to protect the nation, and keep us one step ahead in this ever-evolving world. You’ll join a close-knit group, and get access to unrivalled technology training and development. This includes pre-learning opportunities before the start of the Summer School, world-class cyber experts delivering interactive lectures, workshops and practical learning through application and a unique opportunity to visit GCHQ’s headquarters.
We’ll pay you £250 a week and give you free accommodation in Cheltenham. We may even offer another summer placement and/or a full-time role after you graduate. To apply, you’ll be studying for a STEM subject (or a Joint Honours degree) and be on track for at least a 2:2 degree – with your graduation between 2020 and 2023.
