Welcome to the team as Internship - Credit Portfolio Management London Task:

Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) provides a centre of competence for front office credit management and pricing of lending activities for liquid customers and/or liquid markets. CPM also provides expertise to continue wind down of legacy portfolios primarily related to our Corporate Client Divisions.

The Portfolio Strategy team:

  • develops the global strategy for CPM’s combined loan and counterparty book including hedging and rebalancing in line with the applicable limit framework
  • provides to the other teams in-depth analysis on single names, sectors and regional markets as the basis for deriving the portfolio strategy

Key day-to day activities include:

  • Credit analysis based on public information
  • Active market research using external market contacts
  • Continuous monitoring of the credit and hedge books, focusing on credit quality as well sector correlations, including potential rebalancing strategies
  • Building and maintaining links with key stakeholders within the firm


  • Currently studying towards a Bachelors or Masters degree or recently graduated within the last 12 months; Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, Physics, or Maths background is preferred
  • Expected to or have achieved a minimum 2.1 UK bachelors degree (or equivalent), Minimum 320 UCAS points (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in VBA and MS-Excel is essential; SQL skills desirable
  • Previous relevant internships are desirable
