We’ve introduced 4 streams within the technology scheme and depending on where your passions lie, will determine which stream (or streams) you apply for.

Software Engineering Programme

You’ll build a solid foundation of our different stacks, delivery methods and technologies across different software engineering teams. You’ll be taking part in solving complex problems and issues, pairing to produce high quality and cool code, working in an agile team. In addition to your software engineering rotations, you’ll get the opportunity to experience time with our Data Engineering, Infrastructure and Test Engineering teams.

Data Engineering Programme

As a Data Engineer you’ll develop and deliver creative and innovative data solutions to enable our business to make well informed decisions, all while getting some great exposure to big data platforms and working with a variety of exciting technologies.

Our Data Engineering teams enable our businesses to make well informed decisions around our commercial, pricing and data strategies.

You’ll also get exposure to our Reporting and Business Intelligence teams as well as our Software Engineering teams.

Data Analytics Programme

Here you’ll get to work on projects that make an impact on our different businesses right from scope, to build through to launch. You’ll get to know our data and use programming languages, such as Python, to develop data storytelling and data mining frameworks.

This stream consists of approximately 5 rotations that could include Reporting and Business Intelligence, Data Science Analytics and exposure to Data Engineering.

Our Reporting & Business Intelligence teams deliver and own market leading solutions (features, applications) that support our businesses in interpreting and extracting insight to deliver commercial value.

Our Data Science Analytics teams research, develop and implement predictive analytic solutions and new data products to support our strategic initiatives and solve real business problems.

Business Analysis Programme

You’ll have the opportunity to build on your analytical thinking, providing insights and problem solving using analysis tools and software, to develop you into becoming a top business analyst after the estimated 5 rotations throughout the business.

Rotations will expose you to problem solving, analysis tools, project reporting, test scenarios, process modelling, requirements capturing working closely with different delivery and/or product teams.

As a key part of a forward thinking and innovative change management community, you’ll be entrusted to ensure the delivery and adoption of technology has a positive impact across our Group.

Your support and development

Each of the four streams will be underpinned by a rigorous professional development plan relevant to that stream. That could be a bootcamp or certificate depending on the stream.

·Excellent academic background with strong A-level (or equivalent) results

·Degrees from any disciplines will be considered for those with a passion and aptitude to be a future technology leader

·A passion for new technologies and pushing boundaries

·Strong communication and presentation skills

·Entrepreneurial flair to spot new business opportunities and technologies

·Ambitious and hardworking; you’re unafraid to try and fail, pick yourself up and rebound

·Strong problem-solving skills: able to effectively analyse new situations and to suggest and implement pragmatic solutions
