What we do

We have a deep understanding of the frustrations and pressures of navigating career paths and have seen far too many unfair and biased recruitment processes that negatively affect companies balance sheets and culture. We knew there should be a better way to hire talent for potential, not just a resume. 

We leverage the latest advances in technology, psychology and organisational science to innovate graduate recruitment. We are not recruiters, we are a marketplace that connects companies directly to students. 

Our success

In the last 4-5 months we’ve seen hockey-stick growth. We are growing at 20% week-on-week and have hundreds of students and grads registering on our site each day. Our technology has enabled us to list more than 10k jobs every day which means we are the UK’s largest graduate job board. We are ranked number one on Google search for grad schemes at several FTSE100 companies - meaning that for the majority of students applying to these companies, their journey starts with us.

We’re an eclectic and diverse group of geeks and inventors.  All of us have our own superpowers from psychometrics to machine learning to data science to databases and even nuclear power plant modelling - but are bound to the mission of helping students find meaningful work and define their careers after university. 

Your mission

Having nailed the candidate-side of the marketplace and very recently launching the employer-side of the platform, we’re now entering a new growth phase where we need to sign up as many companies as possible to work with us. It’ll be your challenge to drive lead generation through hacker-style customer acquisition techniques. 

What you can expect to be doing

As a member of our sales team, you’ll be working very closely alongside cofounders to secure meetings at companies who we think would benefit from using Advance. Depending on how successful your leads are, you’ll start joining them on meetings before eventually taking your own meetings and building a team around you. 

You’ll learn a lot about customer acquisition, lead generation, pipeline management, pitch preparation and practice and sales analytics. You’ll also work closely alongside the product team to ensure they are learning from you about what the customers want and how to prioritise future feature development.  There is a lot of room for growth and the better you perform, the better you’ll be rewarded. 

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for highly organised and creative humans with a passion for building and maintaining relationships. We need someone who is happy to work in an unstructured environment, is focus on meeting set targets, can self-motivate and is going to do everything in their power to ensure they take Advance to the next level. 

Ideally, you’ll have graduated from a UK university with min 2.1 and have demonstrable examples of experiences that required you to be incredibly motivated (sports, academia, passion project) and can talk us through some experiences that required you to be detail-oriented, analytical or digital skilled.  We are looking for natural networkers or entrepreneurs. We’re looking for people who are hungry to learn.
