Business Analytics

The MSc in Business Analytics programme will help you generate and capture greater competitiveness in data-driven business.

Our Business Analytics programme is designed to provide a foundation to those who will determine the scope and direction of data analytics research within their organisation, and communicate the research outcomes to the ultimate decision-makers.

Our graduates are trained to participate in the strategic management process, improve the organisation’s financial performance and help design the effective measures of performance of an organisation for which evidence-based data become a strategic asset in the decision-making process.

Therefore, the primary goal is to provide an insight into business data analytics and prepare the students to develop the set of skills and attitudes that will evolve into effective leadership skills.

Objectives

The main purpose of the Business Analytics programme is to develop a comprehensive set of skills and to encourage the positive attributes that are essential to becoming a successful business analyst.

The master's degree is committed not only to imparting specialist skills, but also to developing the so-called "soft skills” which are important in influencing people and organisations.

As well as obtaining effective and persuasive communication skills, you will also learn about ethics-related issues, which are another key ingredient to responsible leadership.

International Business

You’re looking to forge a career in international business and have a specific interest to gain deeper knowledge in international business disciplines such as international strategy, international marketing or finance or accounting. You’ll be looking to gain relevant skills required when managing in an international setting such as cross cultural management, leadership in different international contexts and ethical considerations in business with respect to the society and the environment.

The MSc in International Business will prepare you for functional or operational roles such as international product manager, project manager, business development manager, account manager or finance/accounting, marketing and strategy roles in any global setting.

Objectives

This course provides top-level academic theory and professionally relevant education for students with a desire to break into a valuable career in international business. The curriculum is built to enable you to face the challenges of a complex global and interconnected world. Differences between countries and their markets have remained a major stumbling block for employees and managers venturing abroad. Success abroad requires tools to reduce this key threat and our curriculum will provide you with these tools.

You’ll study the foundations of international business and management and you’ll also have an opportunity to apply learning through a compulsory project and a choice of specialist electives from the Cass master’s portfolio. The project will have a mandatory international focus which you’ll independently plan, initiate and successfully conduct. The project is intended to enable you to develop key leadership qualities, competencies and skills.

You will benefit by learning from one of the most diverse faculty globally with world-class international business expertise, research and thought leadership. Our London location offers uniquely close links to international businesses – providing you with access to industry practitioners and guest speakers from the City.

Management

Your interests span a wide range of management topics and disciplines, from hard skills like problem analysis, critical thinking, finance and strategy to soft skills including teamwork influencing, leadership, negotiating and managing people.

You are looking to make that crucial first step into management or may already be working as a manager or entrepreneur.

Either way, this course will develop both your skills-base and your confidence as a manager able to take on any challenge in today’s fast-moving global business environment.

Objectives

The Management master's course is based on an MBA style curriculum and is academically rigorous without neglecting the applied, practical aspects of your management education. Academic rigour is balanced with practical relevance.

The curriculum is enriched by opportunities for individualised course of learning and personal development as from term two you are encouraged to choose the subjects which you wish to study depending on your interests and professional goals to build your confidence and leadership qualities.

You’ll study the foundations of business management and be able to create a more individualised course of study by tailoring your learning and take advantage of our diverse portfolio of optional modules, studying at Cass and in our sister institutions around the world.

We hope to empower you to make conscious choices about business issues and your own future.

Our challenging electives from the portfolio of master's programme are either London based or held in international locations and invite our students to deepen their knowledge of current management practices and to sharpen their skills required of future global leaders. Some electives will take you beyond the classroom experience and act as capstones to your educational and practical experiences.
