** Hounslow, London.

My Client mixed Comprehensive Secondary school in Hounslow will be looking for several Learning Support Assistants from September 18'. The positions will be full time. The interviews will be on week beginning Tuesday August 28th.

It's a excellent school that produces high results. In 2017 the Year 11 students achieved 80% for A* to Cs in Maths and English.

I have placed Teaching Assistants in this outstanding London school for over several years. Graduates who were looking for more school based experience before applying for a PGCE/School Direct or Teach First Programme. They have worked as Teaching Assistants in the learning support department, led by an inspiring and motivational SENCO. All worked with students with specific learning difficulties - students with Dyslexia, Autism and also those with Attention Deficit Disorder. The Teaching Assistants work cross curricular and need to be strong with Maths and English.

My contact is looking to recruit Graduates as Teaching Assistants in the same way as she has for last few years.

Are you a graduate from the last 5 years? London based? Looking for a Teaching Assistant role.

Are you looking to become a teacher or an Education Psychologist in the future, following on from a Teaching Assistant role?

Looking to work as a Teaching Assistant in an outstanding London Secondary School?

The SENCO is keen to meet people with a genuine passion for working with young people with learning difficulties and will then go on to work in Education. She likes people who have worked with Youths, taught overseas, tutored or volunteered in schools. Also she is interested in people with a strong academic background with an interest in Sports. But any strong graduates should apply for this teaching assistant role.

Also, in recent times the school works in partnership with other local schools on a School Direct Programme. There is every possibility, with a strong year behind you as a Teaching Assistant, you may get a place on a School Direct at this particular London School.
