This company is looking for two exceptional students to fill one-year Marcom internships commencing early June 2019. You will be working in their in-house design studio and communications agency that creates some of the world’s best marketing communications. All advertising campaigns, websites, e-mails and other pieces of communication that appear in the EMEIA region — offline, online, in retail stores, and in partner stores — is created by, or comes through, this team.
The role will provide experience in both PR and Events, working to provide a full range of support to the wider European team in terms of looking after the media press office, monitoring and collating daily coverage, facilitating the loan and collection of seed units, supporting press tour and event logistics, event planning and more.
You will support the PR and Events team to help them deliver key messages and communications strategy. As a Communications intern you will have the opportunity to be front of line with both the media and customers, which will require great interpersonal and excellent communication skills. Attention to detail is a key requirement for this role.
PR responsibilities - includes being the first point of contact in a busy press office for journalist enquiries; proactively monitoring and evaluating media coverage; support for the product seeding programme monitoring dispatch and recall of outstanding units. Daily written coverage reports are a key function; excellent written and editorial skills a must.
Events responsibilities - include press tour travel management of travel logistics and itineraries, event budget management; production of event planning documents and communications, analysing internal and external events, venue and vendor research.
Ad hoc projects - will include planning and execution support of PR momentum campaigns, new store openings, influencer events, launch event support, and key vertical events.
Must be enrolled on a university course and taking a placement year as part of your degree course.
Your degree must include an element of marketing.
Must have 2:1 or above grade average
Excellent English communications skills - written and oral.
Strong organisational skills.
Experience of working with Excel
Confidence working with macOS applications is a strong plus (keynote, numbers, pages).
A hands-on, can-do approach to solving problems.
Extreme attention to detail.
The ability to learn new processes and technology quickly.
The ability to work well with others. We work very collaboratively here.
Eager to learn new skills - and not afraid to ask questions.
Comfort with ambiguity, missing details and when plans change at short notice
A good sense of humour. (There will be days when you'll need it.)
