Are you an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (or newly qualified) looking for an exciting opportunity on a busy Older Persons Mental Health Ward?
At Derbyshire Community Health Services we are proud of the personalized and safe local health services we provide that enrich the lives of people across the county every day. We are the first choice community services provider for the 700,000 people of Derbyshire.
There has never been a more exciting time to join one of the largest specialist community NHS providers in the country – one that is also among the very best NHS employers as voted by its own staff. Over the next five years the way the NHS works will change; care out of traditional hospital settings is quickly becoming a much larger part of what the NHS does. This change is happening right across the country and as a leading community provider our aim is to be at the forefront of this exciting future, joining-up services in local communities to better meet the individual needs of our patients.
What really matters to us is providing every one of our patients with an excellent experience, a service that really cares and one that delivers the right outcome. We achieve this every day.
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, both for a specific group of patients as the Primary Nurse and/or in supporting the care of all patients on the ward as an Associate Nurse.
As a Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability nurse (or newly qualified), you will assist in the management and organization of work as required; ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support for junior staff on the ward.
You will play a key role in the supervision and assessment of all learners and unregistered staff, providing a teaching role and acting as a named supervisor.
An extremely supportive preceptorship programme will be available for any newly qualified appointments made. We look forward to receiving your application.
