Your challenge

The type of work we do ranges from high complexity radios to low energy sensors and you will help us create effective solutions for our clients. This will involve overcoming challenging technology and short timescales. And it will require you to have skills across the full range of electronics skills digital, analogue and RF including FPGA and power.Electronic Engineering at PA Consulting Group

The electronics team form part of the product development service. This service is unique amongst management consultancies and enables us to provide an integrated solution to many of our client’s needs.
For example, we recently worked for Drayson Technologies who launched a new business built on a combination of web, apps and small low energy sensors. The electronics team worked on the sensors alongside the client’s engineers and our IT practice to create an end-to-end connected system in under a year. Your role in Electronic Engineering

Over 10 weeks, you’ll help the wider team to develop a whole range of solutions to electronic engineering problems. The electronics team are part of the technology group and provide the product development service. We are always busy with the engineers working in project teams.

Job Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role

  • On track for a first or 2:1 degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • A good understanding of analogue and digital circuit design
  • Knowledge of programming language, e.g. C or C++ and open source operating systems such as Linux
  • A passion for engineering and in particular electronics

The start date for this role will be in July 2019.
This role is open to undergraduates in their penultimate year of university. If you intend to return to university after the internship to complete an MSc, you will also be eligible for this position.
