Graduate Teaching Assistant – Performing Arts – Teaching Training Experience

This is a fabulous school in the heart of Birmingham that has a passion and understanding of the importance of performing arts and instilling creativity within education.
They are looking to appoint a fabulous graduate with a background in music, art or drama and a passion to work in education to support some of their students who need that extra help.
- Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Supporting across a variety of subjects including English, Maths and Science
- Must have an interest in the Performing Arts
- Must be able to show a commitment to gaining experience in education
- Central Birmingham location
- Supporting 1:1 and small group interventions
- Extremely vibrant and welcoming school
- Paid up to £325 per week
- Term-time only, full time position
- Shortlisting on and ongoing basis for January start
- Must have a minimum of a 2:1 in core subject or arts based degree
- OR strong A Levels in core subjects or art, drama or music
This opportunity is open to graduates who are looking to gain vital school-based experience prior to moving onto teacher training. This school are looking for someone who not only has a strong academic background, but can clearly demonstrate an interest in performing arts.
You will be required to work with students who find English, Maths or Science a little trickier and need that extra little push to achieve their potential. This support will be given in the form of 1:1, small group and classroom based, to ensure that all students are given the right support that they need.
There is a strong emphasis on performing arts in this school and would be suitable for someone who has an interest in this area and combining it with school based experience.
The school are looking for a graduate to start in January and are shortlisting on an ongoing basis.
