Job Role and Responsibilities:

Working with the Enterprise Director, Northern Europe, the EMEA AAS IP Librarian Intern will focus on an essential activity in the Advisory Services organisation for the entire EMEA region. Your core activities will be based on researching, gathering, collating, categorising, distributing, and identifying the need for essential intellectual property, that supports the development of customer strategy, as part of the AAS organisation. You will identify and implement a process for continuous improvement, in collaboration with AAS leaders and the Enterprise Directors in EMEA. You might be involved in additional activities that include special projects in support of the Enterprise Business. You will also be expected to establish an outbound communication cadence, for AAS and for sales teams.
  • Establish a repository for AAS Intellectual Property.
  • Research what IP exists across the AAS teams, across EMEA, and across all of VMware.
  • Gather, collate, and categorise essential IP based on guidance from AAS leaders and Enterprise Directors across EMEA.
  • Identify IP gaps and make recommendations for new material as required.
  • Develop a process for continuous improvement and maintain a cadence of reviews.
  • Establish an outbound communication cadence, for AAS and sales teams, to update and remind them of essential IP which is available.
  • Act as a leader with vision for the team, always focusing on solving problems and
  • implementing solutions.
  • Communicate with internal VMware teams, both onshore and offshore, VMware customers and partners.
  • Work independently and effectively within and across teams.

Required Skills

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in a business-related topic
  • 0-2 years of experience within any of the following areas: Financial Analysis, Accounting, Pricing, Sales Operations
  • A passion for analysing and making sense of intellectual property
  • Strong interpersonal skills, incl. good communication with the ability to articulate ideas in a precise and concise manner
  • Ability to think creatively, take ownership of tasks and adapt to changing business requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • A passion for analysing and making sense of intellectual property
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, web-based tools or related systems and tools skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Ability working with cross functional teams
  • Enterprise level experience and comfortable with executive-level management interaction
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Fascination with information technology and its use in business
