A start-up food and snack company who have successfully launched their range of crunchy corn snacks in the UK across a range of retailers and partners including Sainsbury’s, Wholefoods and easyJet. This is an opportunity to get on at the ground floor of a fast growing food brand.
This is a 3 month internship paying £1,400 per month with the potential to convert to a permanent job.
How can you expect to spend your day?
The aim of the company for this year is to grow their distribution channels and raise brand awareness amongst consumers in the UK through smart partnerships and retail buyers. In this internship you will join as a Sales and Marketing Intern to help support this strategy
Tasks you can expect to learn about and be responsible for include:
  • Quickly get up to speed on the company’s products and how they’re positioned in the market.
  • Be the Account Manager for a range of existing clients who already buy and stock the popcorn in their own businesses, these include health stores, hotels, coffee shops, juice bars, corporate/ office snack deliveries. This part of the role will involve ensuring those clients have the stock they require, staying on top of repeat orders and any required promotional material.
  • Continue to build relationships with existing clients through email, telephone calls and face to face visits, gaining feedback where possible and ensuring they’re happy with the products.
  • Identify new business opportunities who may want to stock and sell the popcorn through their own channels, speaking to the relevant person at those companies, providing samples and arranging meetings where possible to demonstrate the range of products.
  • Keep track of activity with weekly reports to monitor outreach and prospective business developed.
