We are looking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist experienced in assessment, diagnosis and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders across Coventry and Warwickshire.
We are a specialist service for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, providing highly specialised assessment and interventions. We are seeking a motivated individual with a keen interest and experience in working with this population.
You will be required to work autonomously and as part of a motivated multidisciplinary team including Paediatricians, Speech and language Therapy, Psychiatry and Occupational Therapy. This is a dynamic role where you may be working within community settings such as schools, clinics and family homes. The post involves assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Tourette’s. Interventions include Psychoeducation, parent and/or child groups as well as individual work. The service is actively involved in research and regularly provide student placements. We are ever evolving to meet the needs of the population we work with and have received a CQC rating of outstanding for being caring. The team were nominated for a number of awards within the trust and are nationally recognised due the reputations of the professions within the service. We have a strong commitment to clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and offer a supportive and proactive environment.
Applicants must have substantial post qualification experience and training in ASC assessment tools and experience of working with this population.
As travel is an integral part of this post, car owner/driver, or suitable alternative transport to enable you to undertake the job is essential (It is unlikely that public transport will meet this requirement). This post is subject to a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure at ‘Enhanced’ level.
