Who are we?

We are a rapidly growing charity seeking to accelerate change for those affected by brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under 40 in the UK than any other cancer. Our five-year strategy is ambitious and sets out plans to double survival from brain tumours and halve the harm they cause to quality of life.

Our exciting job role!

Joining our BRIAN (Brain tumouR Information and Analysis Network) team you will assist in the development and implementation of the underlying data warehouse. The Database Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day support of production, user acceptance, development and test databases. You will provide excellent technical support across all database environments, as well as operational support for database issues initiated from incidents or changes.

This role is full time - 37.5 hours and will be based in our Farnborough office, with some out‐of‐hours working.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience of operational and strategic database administration and support. They will have experience of working with and understanding complex systems in addition to good practice methods and be able to apply them quickly and efficiently to provide good value for money for The Charity If this is for you, we’d love to hear from you!

What we'd like to give you:

Salary circa £35,000 (dependent on experience)

25 days holiday plus bank holidays – pro rata for part-time contracts (we also close at Christmas as a ‘thank you’ for volunteering your time at some of our events throughout the year*)
