Job Description

BAE Systems Air Sector is already recognised as an innovative and world class aircraft design, development and manufacturing organisation, The Information Management and Technolgy (IM&T) function exists to enhance the Air Sector competitive edge, deliver operational excellence and accelerate innovation in IM&T, our mission is to deliver a world class IM&T experience through innovative business and customer engagement.

The IM&T Graduate will be part of the team delivering this essential and exciting capability to the Air Sector business. They will spend two years on the Graduate Development Framework and during this time will undertake four six-month placements in various parts of the IM&T function learning different aspects of the function and how it operates to add value and capability to the Air Sector business. The placements undertaken will be dependent on the graduate’s skills and the business need at the time, but would typically include roles such as Project Manager/Business Analyst/Software Developer/Architect

Role Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will be dependent on the roles undertaken during the GDF scheme, but potentially you will be;

  • Helping to project manage IM&T projects delivering capability to the business and our customers
  • Developing Data Solutions to enhance business understanding and performance
  • Maintaining and improving design, business and manufacturing systems used to develop our world leading products
  • Working with our in house customers to understand and shape their requirements for IT systems

What you’ll need

To apply, you’ll need to be on course for achieving a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree in an IT, engineering, numerical, scientific or technical subject only.

We’ll also look for you to demonstrate exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and have the flexibility and resilience to thrive at BAE Systems.
