Overview of business area or project:
The role sits within the Lending Change Programme - part of the UK Private Banks' Strategy and Change function.
This Programme has 4 pillar outcomes that it is designed to achieve:
? Expanding the products and services offered our clients
? Ensuring everything we do continues to comply to our regulatory obligations
? Increasing the level of Productivity and Efficiency of the platform
? Continuing to ensure the Risk and Control framework is proportionate and effective
Within the Programme it is expected that the individual will initially focus on two main areas:
1) Identifying how the Capital Allocation and Risk Weighted Asset position of the platform can be optimized for clients who have Lending products with the bank
2) Ensuring the (data) quality control framework for our regulatory reporting continues to evolve and improve
There is also likely to be further small projects and changes that the individual will have the opportunity to lead or input into.
The Programme currently has strong relationships with senior and operational management within Credit Risk, Lending, Compliance, Legal, Front-Office, IT and Regulatory Reporting and ExCO Members.
Key Responsibilities
? Delivery focused Hybrid Project Manager / Senior Business Analyst required to own the end-to-end delivery of IT enabled business change projects related to the UK Private Bank's Lending business
? Take ownership of projects from the pre-project/initiation phase through design, delivery and handover to business-as-usual
? Work with a variety of business stakeholders (Credit Risk, Compliance, Lending Specialist, Finance, Regulatory Reporting and Front-Office) to understand underlying issues and opportunities, and propose pragmatic IT and non-IT solutions
? Produce the suite of mandatory project artefacts, and also identify when additional products are required
? Production of senior manager facing presentations
? Ensure any IT related changes are fully defined and fed into the Programmes' Credit IT Agile delivery model
Overview of the department / team (team size, backgrounds, personalities ):
The role sits within the Lending Change Programme - part of the UK Private Banks' Strategy and Change function.
The wider Lending Change Programme contains approx. 11 members (Business Change and IT) who are tasked with delivering approx. 10 projects in 2018, with commonly 2 or 3 running concurrently.
The team is comprised of other hybrid Project Manager/Business Analyst, Scrum Master, IT Business Analysts and Developers. The majority of the team are experienced, and either subject matter experts and/or have strong working knowledge of Credit Suisse processes and system.
Role sits within an established, fast paced team with a track record for continuous improvement and project delivery
This role will report directly into the Programme Manager, but will be expected to be work with a high degree of independence/minimal supervision.
Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:
? Individual will arriving mid-way through some of their projects, so will need to be able to quickly understand context, issues, requirements and solutions/options, and commence delivery
? Scope, priorities and budget are liable to change mid-project, so individual will need to be pragmatic and flexible
? Expectation of quality and delivery within the Programme is very high
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
? Lending or Credit Risk experience
? Private Banking / Wealth Management experience
? History of acting in a dual Project Manager / Business Analyst capacity
? Demonstrable track record of working independently / with minimal day-to-day supervision
? Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and priorities workload and deliverables
? Strong analytical skills, comfortable of understanding and documenting a low level of detail
? Comfortable working at an accelerated pace, are capable of assessing delivery risk and operating within an acceptable level of uncertainty
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
? Knowledge of the Regulatory Reporting requirements associated to Lending, including Capital Allocation, Risk Weighted Assets, and Large Exposure
? Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or Alteryx
? Agile project delivery
