Closely approaching it's centenary, this housing associations vision is to make a positive difference to women's lives. Being London's largest specialist housing association, they own almost 1000 properties and they seek a Graduate Housing Assistant to provide high quality and effective support across a broad range of service areas. They offer a wonderfully supportive and friendly working environment where a hard-working graduate can have fantastic exposure into the housing sector and flourish within this crucial role.
The Role:

Communication with applicants including assessments and taking them on viewings of potential homes, assigning new residents to properties and ensuring waiting lists are managed and maintained in line with agreed policies and procedures

Keeping regular contact with existing residents, including taking rental payments, organising property transfers where necessary and making sure their voices are heard, ultimately resulting in them receiving the best possible housing service

Manage relationships with letting agents, local authorities, and contractors to ensure working deadlines and corporate plan is met

General administration to support the housing management team and wider teams, maintaining and delivering a high-quality service to residents and stakeholders

Regular training to keep up to date with changes in laws, regulation and practice and to develop your own skills

The Person:

Having a confident persona with excellent communication skills, will allow you to converse effectively, professionally and personally with the public, external agencies and your colleagues

Being Empathetic with a commitment to equality and diversity will mean you too reflect this housing associations values

Ability to multitask allowing you to manage numerous responsibilities, respond quickly to any changing demands, ultimately meeting all your deadlines and working to the highest quality

Skills in numeracy, IT, administration and planning will allow you to hit the ground running in this role
