Humane Society International/UK is an affiliate of the global animal protection organisation Humane Society International (HSI), striving for a better future for animals and people through advocacy, education, and hands-on programmes. HSI UK is a leading force for animal protection, with hundreds of thousands of supporters across the country who play an invaluable role in supporting and funding our work. We are an effective voice for animals, with active programmes in wildlife protection, alternatives to animal experiments, and farm animal welfare. A small but effective team, HSI UK has big ambitions to create further positive change for animals both here in the UK and around the world.

About the position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Office Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to HSI UK staff. The position will assist with day to day office duties and procurement, supporter administration and event planning, as necessary, to contribute to the effective and efficient running of the charity. Please note that this is a one year,fixed-term contract with the possibility ofextension.

About you

You’ll be highly efficient and organised with a positive “can do” attitude and an interest in animal welfare issues. You will need to be able to manage your own workload and react positively to changing priorities. The successful candidate will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a keen eye for detail and be a capable user of Microsoft packages, databases and social media channels.
