Health Foundation Internship (Research) - 9-month fixed term contract
Covent Garden, London
£19,890 per annum pro rata (plus excellent benefits)
Full time (37.5 hours per week)
The Health Foundation is now recruiting for an intern, based in the Research Directorate, to join our internship programme for 2018/2019.
The Health Foundation is an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK. Our aim is a healthier population, supported by high quality health care that can be equitably accessed. From giving grants to those working at the front line to carrying out research and policy analysis, we shine a light on how to make successful change happen.
The programme offers an exciting opportunity for people who are enthusiastic about how funded research can bring about change in public policy and health and social care practice and public policy and who want to learn more about us for nine months. Interns will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects spanning a broad array of topic areas, as well as developing their understanding of research, analysis, project management and how research findings can be communicated in ways that lead to lasting impact.
This internship will suit recent graduates and/or those looking to build a career in research, public policy or health care improvement. It offers the opportunity to learn about how our research supports our ambition to support healthier lives and health care improvement as well as to develop core skills which are integral to these areas. In return, the intern will be expected to bring enthusiasm, curiosity and a flexible approach to their work. Interns will be encouraged to maximise the opportunities available to them to learn and develop their knowledge and skills during their time in post.
The intern will benefit from on the job experience and skills developed as a result of their contribution at the Foundation. We will also offer development opportunities and mentoring to support the intern in identifying and maximising their future career choices and opportunities.
