Job Purpose:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Fabrication Technician to join our expanding Workshop Team In Wellesbourne.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Work as part of a small team of 2 or 3 on fabrication or repair projects
  • Welding of ferrous and non-ferrous materials as required
  • Preparation and finishing of welded parts or structures
  • Cutting and shaping of materials
  • Use the company forklifts or other relevant lifting equipment to load, manoeuvre or position work pieces or materials
  • Accurately complete work time sheets on a daily basis
  • Keep clean, tidy & safe their own work areas and general working environment
  • To prepare steel bars, plates and other materials as required by the workshop or customers at our busy stores
  • Keep all steel cutting machinery in a safe, clean and tidy condition

Qualification & Experience:

  • Previous experience with fabrication equipment such as press brakes, drills and saws
  • Experience with site tools and procedures
  • Experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • City & Guilds/NVQ in Fabrication or Welding would be advantageous
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Full understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work with a flexible and lateral thinking approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work unsupervised and also as part of team
  • Driver’s licence is essential
