JCB is a world-class, family-owned business. We are proud of our achievements and recognise that future growth and success is shaped by the ambition of the JCB team. If you are looking for a career with a business where people really count, look no further.
About the Scheme
The 18 month Engineering Graduate Scheme consists of four tailored placements and will enable you to work on real engineering projects to develop your understanding of our products as well as to gain commercial acumen.
The four rotations typically include designing and developing current or new product introduction in business units; research in our innovation centre and a more commercial focused placement to experience engineering from a different perspective. There are also placement opportunities in engines, industrial design or within the aftermarket part of our business.
We will encourage and support you to work towards professional registration to IEng or CEng with either IMechE or IET and we will provide you with a mentor to make this career development a success.
During the placements you will work with experienced teams, gain new skills and develop a detailed understanding of a global off highway machine engineering and manufacturing business.
You will also be involved in community based activities and education STEM activities as part of the scheme.
There is potential for an overseas assignment in the India Design Centre in Pune, this is based on business requirements via a selection process for high calibre candidates.
You will be dedicated, passionate and willing to learn and have relevant university project or work experience. We are looking for individuals who are great problem solvers, tenacious and determined to succeed in a fast paced environment.
We are looking for candidates who have a ‘hands on’ approach and be as passionate about JCB as we are.
We welcome applications from the following Engineering disciplines:
- Electrical and Electronic
- Design Engineering.
Candidates who wish to apply must be near to or have completed an appropriate engineering bachelors or master’s degree and must be on track to secure a 2:1 or higher.
The placements will be based within one of our UK sites in Staffordshire, so you must be willing to relocate to within a reasonable commuting distance.
Following the scheme there are a number of areas you can secure a role in such as; advanced engineering and research, mechanical design and machine engineering, test and development or as a specialist in hydraulics or structures. The choices are numerous, but our dedicated Graduate Scheme Leader will support you in finding your first role post scheme.
