KS1 Teaching Assistant– Barking and Dagenham
Are you looking to further your experience in a KS2 class before potentially going on to Teacher Training?
An exciting opportunity in a Barking and Dagenham Primary school has opened for a gifted graduate to join their team as a KS1 Teaching Assistant for the academic year.
A KS1 Teaching Assistant who can create positive relationships with pupils by using language and other communication skills that the pupils can relate to and understand.>
A graduate with an education- relevant degree (desirable) however any degree at 2:1 above with relevant passion and experience will be considered.>
Good literacy and numeracy skills>
A passionate, friendly, engaging and patient KS1 Teaching Assistant who is looking to remain in this role for a minimum of the academic year.
The KS1 Teaching Assistant job specification:>
Work directly with the teacher to implement the EYFS curriculum and respond to the pupils' needs>
Set out learning materials and prepare learning environments as directed by the teacher so that pupils can participate safely and effectively in the planned activities>
Provide pupils with the level and type of support specified by the teacher, whilst at the same time encouraging the pupils towards independence and accepting responsibility for their own behaviour.
