We have an opening in Tower Hamlets for an Experienced CAMHS style Support Assistant to join a provision on a long-term basis. This is the perfect opportunity for a graduate who is looking to get rich experience in the SEN field!
The Experienced CAMHS style Support Assistant role
The school are advertising for a genuine graduate to join the SEN unit and work as an Experienced CAMHS style Support Assistant with a class of around 6-8 pupils mixed in both difficulties and age.
The role will require you to work with your class on their academic and social learning plans. The Experienced CAMHS style Support Assistant will support their class’s academia and promote the social and emotional understanding of their pupils. You will have regular team meetings and in-house training to ensure you are fully equipped with the knowledge and tools to exceed in this role.
It is essential for this role that you can work in a challenging environment and have the relevant experience doing so. Non-graduates with extensive experience within SEN/PMLD/SEMH will be considered, and any training within Makaton/PECS/TeamTeach will be extremely advantageous.
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Role: Experienced CAMHS style Support Assistant – graduate or experienced SEN workers suitable
Pay: £70-75 a day
Duration: Starting immediately – interviews commencing in the next few weeks
Specifications: Minimum 2:1 degree with a strong and resilient nature (non-graduates considered with extensive experience in specialist education)
Desirable: Training or experience working within Experienced CAMHS style Support Assistant or behavioural roles.
