The Company:

Bern Pet Foods Ltd is a successful, friendly pet food supplier and the UK distributor of some of the world’s best pet food brands 'Orijen’ and 'Acana’. The company supplies quality independent retailers and supports customers with the highest levels of customer service.

To support growth, they are looking for a graduate to join their sales office and take on a variety of tasks that are important in a growing business. Full training on products, markets and systems will be provided.

The role of Graduate Trainee:

From the office in Reigate the new Graduate Trainee will join an established team in a role that will support administrative and support tasks, working as part of a team to ensure the office runs smoothly. Specific tasks will include:

  • Order capture and purchase order processing.
  • Working with 3rd party service providers including logistics companies and delivery services.
  • Providing high levels of customer service.
  • Responding to customer enquiries by telephone or email.
  • Data management.
  • General office duties.

A graduate candidate with a second European language could also be involved in dealing with product suppliers.

The person for this Graduate Trainee role:

The right candidate will have a pleasant telephone manner and the ability to multi-task. We are looking for a confident, outgoing and adaptable individual who is organized and methodical. Your skills and experience should include:

  • A graduate with a degree in a business subject.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Highly organised and methodical.
  • Team player.
  • Great IT skills (Microsoft Word and Excel to an intermediate / advanced level).
  • A second useful is useful but not essential.
