VMware invests for the future in VMware’s Global Sales and Services Organization through the VMware Academy (VA) which is a global development program that is designed to fast track new graduates from in-depth training into successful careers within the Worldwide Sales and Services organization. As a part of VMware Academy, you will begin your journey by being immersed in 6 weeks of collaborative training known as Foundation (classroom) in Cork, Ireland. The academy involves sales, technical and product training for all participants. Upon completion of Foundation training, you will return to your home office and move into Role Based (on-the-job) training over the course of 4-6 months depending on role and location. During your Role Based training you will continue to develop your skills and product knowledge while creating meaningful mentor relationships that will ignite your career. After Role Based training, you will have completed Academy and transition into your role and business unit. Job Role and Responsibilities:

The Global Accounts team is a leading sales team within VMware, defining the future strategy of our products and go to market, we believe in long term relationships at all levels within our accounts. In EMEA we currently have over 50 leading global customers including Telco, Finance, Automotive and Pharma and the team has a passion for aligning our business to the customer needs and planning for a joint and collaborative future. The Inside Global Account Managers team (iGAM) is the underpinning support and sales team for the global accounts team, we are breaking new ground in our emerging products around the globe, the iGAM team is spread across Europe with hubs in Staines, Germany and Paris.
VMware is seeking highly motivated individuals for Inside Sales positions. The iGAM role is primarily responsible for managing transactional business within specified territories for VMware. This position requires excellent communication skills that result in meeting or exceeding the assigned revenue targets for the specified territories. You will need to interact with field sales, internal sales, marketing, partners, suspects and customers to maximize the total Customer Experience. The inside sales team is aligned to VMware’s Enterprise sales regions and is an overall support system for VMware’s field sales and channel partner organization. The iGAM is responsible for all duties from prospecting to closing accounts with the field sales/channel sales team for the regions they support.

Required Skills:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Business, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics or relevant field of study
  • Excellent social and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team and customer-facing environment
  • Dynamic individual, keen to work and collaborate in a high-energy team dependent environment
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once and succeed in a rapidly changing environment
  • Positive and engaging phone manner, excellent listening and interpersonal skills, strong writing skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A career objective to progress to a field sales role in our UK based field sales territories

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior customer-centric work experience
  • Positive and engaging phone manner, excellent listening and interpersonal skills, strong writing skills
  • Fluency in either French or Spanish, German, and Italian is an advantage
  • A basic understanding of computing technology, a dedication to ongoing learning, and comfort discussing technology and business value with customers
