Are you an enthusiastic, adaptable, motivated Registered Nurse who has good interpersonal skills and is able to develop and maintain positive working relationships?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 37.5 hour Band 5 nurse to join an already well established Dermatology team. Although the post will be based on the Pontefract site, applicants must be aware that at times they may have to cover at the Pinderfields and Dewsbury departments depending on service need. A staff shuttle bus is available to travel to all 3 sites.
The successful candidate, working closely with the Sisters and Lead Nurse for Dermatology, should have excellent communication skills, be a committed, highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual with willingness to gain knowledge and learn new skills within the field of Dermatology.
Across the three sites, the Registered Nurses assist and support in Doctor Led clinics and minor surgery sessions, run Phototherapy and Leg Ulcer clinics, Photodynamic Therapy and Iontophoresis clinics, as well as providing their own nurse led clinics in Cosmetic Camouflage, Minor Surgery, Drug Monitoring and Eczema Education as well as Psoriasis education and Botox for Axillary Hyperhidrosis.
Previous Dermatology experience is not essential as full training will be given, however, applicants should have post registration experience, must have the ability to organise and prioritise their own work load and have a genuine interest in the field of Dermatology.
The department is forward thinking and progressive. The post provides the successful candidate the opportunity to assist in the development of the existing service across site and to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all members of the Multidisciplinary team within the trust.
