Geography Teaching Assistant – Wolverhampton – About the role / Person specification

For this role you must have gained a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Geography. Ideally you will have gained some form of experience working with children, this doesn’t necessarily have to be in an educational context. You must also demonstrate a passion for education and the school would like to see that you have future aspirations to become a teacher. Day-to-day you will be working with the fabulous Geography department with the large staff team who are all really passionate about their subject, making it a fun and lively department to work in. Once your confidence has grown you will have an opportunity to undertake the planning and delivering of your own lessons, working on specific areas of Geography that interest you! Furthermore, you will be responsible for working in small groups and 1:1 with students who are finding certain aspects of the subject particularly challenging. Therefore it will be your responsibility to ensure that students are on track and to liaise with the class teacher regarding progress.
