Are you a registered nurse seeking a flexible working arrangement with all the benefits of a substantive post?
A band 5 role in our flexible nursing team might be just the opportunity you have been looking for.
We know how important your work life balance is and being able to work within an environment that supports this. We also recognise that many do not wish to trade the security and benefits that a substantive role offers for the flexibility of a bank contract.
Being part of the flexible nursing team means that you are guaranteed a set amount of hours and pattern of work that suits your lifestyle. As a substantive member of staff you will receive all the associated benefits that are not available to bank or agency nurses.
In return we ask that you also work flexibly in terms of the areas that you cover and commit to a minimum of 19.5 hours per week.
We also have a variety of other flexible working options; Bank Nurse: The traditional bank agreement where availability is matched to outstanding shifts Fixed-term contract: An extended period with a defined start and end date where security is required. This could be on one ward or across a variety of wards.
Simply state your preferred working arrangement and areas of work in your application.
The hospital is based in Dorchester, the traditional county town of West Dorset, made famous by the novels of Thomas Hardy. The town has a quiet centre, although with the influx of people relocating from London, Essex, the Midlands and Home Counties, new shops and restaurants have opened adding to the mix of modern and traditional.
West Dorset with its outstanding scenery and rugged coastline is a most enjoyable part of the country, characterised by a number of small towns, each with a distinct identity.
Whatever your outdoor pursuit you can find it here, for example: hiking, wall climbing, horse riding or water sports such as sailing, surfing, kayaking, diving and so much more! You will find excellent transport links to London & Bath.
The hospital is close to the town and is on one site. It is easily accessed by bus and rail networks and there is parking on site.
With a variety of roles and opportunities for development, this is an exciting place to nurse.
