A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a European Pricing Analyst to join a Financial Services company specializing in Debt Purchasing. Data analysis experience will be essential. The successful candidate will have experience leading a team and will have knowledge in valuing high worth assets such as distressed debt. There will be European travel required as a part of this role. Strong experience with SQL and SAS will be advantageous.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* In conjunction with the Commercial team, identifying ways in which analytics can be enhanced and ensuring the company maximizes the use of data
* End-to-End ownership of European analytical pricing projects
* Analyzing data and gaining insights to inform Pricing discussions
* Presenting Portfolio Pricing recommendations to Pricing and Investment Committee, which includes the Group CEO, Group CIO, Operations Director, Finance Director, Commercial Director, In-country CEO
* Analyze portfolio performance and present findings to the Performance Review Group
External:
* Work with the vendors during the pricing process to maximize CCMs knowledge of the data and collections strategy
* Working with in-country specialist to provide grounded investment recommendations with consideration and a plan for operationalizing the portfolio
Formal Education & Certification:
* Highly numerate and detail oriented, preferably with a degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics science subjects, economics or engineering
Knowledge & Experience
* Experience in valuing high worth assets, preferably distressed debt
* Experience in transferring analytical output to commercial implications
* Leadership of a team especially highly technical individuals
* Collaborative and consultative - able to work with others to develop cross business solutions
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Extensive experience in an industry that deals with high volumes of data
* PC literate. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Visual Basic is preferred
* Understanding of debt purchase processes and collections strategies
* Knowledge of statistical sampling techniques such as Stratified sampling as distinct advantage
* SAS and/or SQL for data querying/ programming and an understanding of relational databases
Personal Attributes
* Ability to self start and work with little supervision with a clear delivery focus
* Ability to effectively communicate complicated technical issues to a non-technical audience
* Ability to think creatively - to challenge the norm
