And right now, we’re looking for Staff Nurses to join our Bath and North East Somerset service to help us continue to change things for the better. We have both full time and part time opportunities available.
Based at St Martins Hospital you will work at the Sulis Unit which is a 31 bedded rehab unit, with 8 dedicated stroke rehab beds. Here, we provide intensive rehabilitation for people following episodes of acute illness and injury, with the aim to ensure timely discharge into the community. Our patients are referred to us from the Royal United Hospital in Bath and other acute hospitals.
As a Staff Nurse you work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of nurses and fellow dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals to deliver holistic health care for patients by actively listening, understanding and responding to patients’ needs. You will complete comprehensive care plans including risk assessments and action plans to ensure safe and effective care. You will take an active role in discharge planning, supporting the patient and their family through this process. You’ll be supported to deliver care in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.
This is an opportunity to put your 1st level registration as an RGN to great use. You will ideally have experience of nursing rehab and stroke patients and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills, excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.
