Salary scale: £23,113 - £29,905
The Assistive Technology Service is looking to recruit an experienced and suitably qualified Specialist Clinical Technologist to work within the Clinical and Technical Team located at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
The successful candidate as part of a Multi-Disciplinary team is responsible for assessing severely disabled patients and prescribing appropriate equipment to satisfy their needs also specifies, builds, repairs, maintains and commissions a wide range of Assistive Technology Equipment. While Raigmore based the successful candidate will be required to visit the patient’s home, school, hospital or nursing home throughout NHS Highland and the Western Isles therefore a current driving licence for cars and vans is required. Some of the work will entail overnight stays.
The minimum qualifications required are a degree in a relevant Medical or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience preferably including an apprenticeship. Previous recent experience of working with patients in the NHS is desirable.
