We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Private Client Trusts team which provides tax compliance and consulting services to a wide range of clients with trusts of varying sizes, to ensure their wealth is protected as it transitions between generations, working on estate and inheritance tax planning, the administration of trusts and estates, as well as off-shore trusts.

We are recruiting for a graduate Trust Assistant trainee for a February 2019 start.

We offer you a comprehensive, fully supervised training program, which extends over a period of approximately 42 months and you will undertake the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) professional tax qualifications before training to be a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and STEP Affiliate. A closely monitored and structured program of tuition is provided by a top firm of external tutors and training consists of a combination of courses at the tutors’ offices, private study and regular tests. Paid study leave is granted and course and examination fees are paid for first attempts.

The successful candidate needs to be focused, keen to expand their knowledge and articulate in this client facing role. Day to day tasks will include maintaining accounting records, preparation of trust tax returns, capital gains tax computations and other tax compliance work. You will have direct contact with our clients from the start of your career as well as exposure to a wide variety of different work and the opportunity for rapid career progression.

Candidates must have:

  • Or expect to obtain a 2.1 degree in any discipline
  • Excellent GCSE's with a minimum of a B grade in English and Maths*
  • A minimum of 120 UCAS Tariff points (300 using old tariff)*
  • The right to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the training contract
