We are a 28 bedded mixed sex trauma and orthopedic ward specialized in fractured neck of femur, looking to recruit two registered Nurses, to join this experienced team. We work a two shift system of day duty, 07:15 x 19:45, and night duty, 19:15 x 07:45
If you are newly qualified we offer you 6 months preceptorship course and a designated mentor to support you throughout your eighteen months. We have links with the local university offering post graduate education. We have a supportive Practice Development Team and professional organisational development leads willing to support you and your team to deliver the best possible care.
You will have yearly appraisals and be supported on a day to day basis to succeed.
Staff on Abington and our colleagues that bank her describe the team as being happy, friendly, an excellent team working environment, excellent opportunities to develop link nurse roles, work closely with multi-disciplinary teams on a ward with variable patient demands.
We are a PLAN ward for student nurses and one of the few wards in the hospital to be proud of achieving not just once but twice Green status in ward accreditation.
