CAMHS Practitioner – NT 2018 Award Winning Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team Band 6 – Band 5 developmental post would be considered, rising to Band 6 after 6mths CAMHS experience. 37.5 Hours per week PermanentAn exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. This is a progressive organisation and Torbay has been selected to be part of the national ‘Integration Pioneer Programme’ as a ‘Leader across the system; in progressing integrated care. Torbay CAMHS has been awarded extra funding to further develop and deliver our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment for children and young people who present in mental health crisis.
This posts will be part of a wider CAMH Service that is innovative, dynamic and forward thinking team. The crisis team will work intensively with young people up to age 18 and their families, including those with Learning Disabilities. Focusing on those young people with complex needs, who are hard to reach or difficult to engage, providing a wraparound service working with colleagues in partner agencies and plays a key part of developing multiagency risk-management plans for high-risk vulnerable CYP.
We provide specialist emergency mental health assessments and home treatment service to young people with severe mental health difficulties, out of hours, including bank holidays. The service will provide an alternative to admission, providing a step-up to specialist pathways, increasing support to CYP and their families as needed and step-down from inpatient care to reduce the length of stay.
