You will gain valuable insight into finance, trading, asset management and business development within power, natural gas and related energy commodities. At EM&T, our employees are the company’s greatest asset and our graduates will establish a strong foundation for their future career. Centrica plc employs more than 33,000 people worldwide. Energy Marketing & Trading is Centrica’s window to the global wholesale commodity market, executing procurement and risk management strategies for British Gas and hedging strategies for Centrica’s Power and Gas production businesses in the UK and Europe, as well as developing and executing its own trading strategies in response to market opportunities.
Energy Marketing & Trading has developed a robust and successful asset-backed trading business model and has ambitious plans to grow and diversify across commodities and geographies. The recent signing of our first African LNG purchase contract from the Anadarko project in Mozambique in collaboration with Tokyo Gas is a great example of the flexibility we are building in our LNG business, which allows us to ship cargoes all over the world and balance supply with our global business partners.
Energy Marketing & Trading is a fast paced, entrepreneurial, innovative business which is heavily dependent on quality analytics to support commercial decision-making and risk management, either relating to the origination and structuring of commodity contracts with clients, or the development and execution of trading strategies. The Energy Marketing & Trading Analyst Programme is therefore central to Energy Marketing & Trading’s people development strategy.
