The S&P Global Credit Ratings Excellence Development (CREDit) Program is a three-year training & development program commencing in September 2019. The Program seeks to attract high achievers from a diverse pool of undergraduate institutions. Participants will be expected to work well within a team and demonstrate exceptional learning agility, creativity, and problem solving ability. And our summer internship program is a 10 week internship program taking place over July/August 2019 with the opportunity to be converted to join the 2020 graduate program.

The graduate program begins with a comprehensive training program in New York focusing on a variety of areas, including: Accounting, Ratings Methodology, Risk & Compliance, Capital Markets, etc. Participants will continue with additional training throughout the remainder of the program. They will also be required to successfully complete required certifications exams during the program and pass a rigorous evaluation process. Upon completion of the initial training, participants will be placed into rotations within our key Ratings teams: Corporates, Financial Services, Sovereign & International Public Finance or Structured Finance. During these rotations, the Program Analyst will work in a structured learning environment.

• Learn and understand ratings criteria and methodology
• Assist with preparing required documents for rating committee and issuer management meetings
• Work with assigned summer intern project teams to successfully complete and present during mock ratings committee
• Provide timely and accurate quarterly financial statistics and data analysis
• Assist in reporting, research, presentations and modelling
• Support the team on improvement in execution and ad-hoc writing projects

What we’re looking for:
• Fully matriculated students maintaining a minimum 2.1 in a BSc or BA degree, or equivalent
• Postgraduate & Undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study ONLY
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Able to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail and organizational abilities
• The ability and the desire to learn to conduct your own analysis and research
• Fluent command of English Language is essential and a 2nd European language is desirable
