What we are looking for

The academic requirements are rigorous. Candidates should have an excellent track record of achievement at school and university with a minimum of a 2.1 honours degree in a biosciences subject, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology or plant sciences. We are open to applications from candidates holding or studying for a first or higher degree or doctorate.

Excellent spoken and written English are essential to the role, as are an eye for detail and the ability to explain complex matters clearly. We are also looking for candidates who are proactive, outgoing and friendly, team players and good listeners.

This year, we are particularly interested in applications from candidates with a background in plant sciences, preferably but not necessarily to be based in Cambridge with our existing specialists in that area.

What we offer

We offer a programme of training to take you right through to qualification as a patent attorney (European and UK Chartered). We support you with one-to-one mentoring, external courses, internal tutorials and on-the-job training. Our reputation for training and our record of first-time examination successes are second to none. We will continue to support your professional development throughout your career with the firm.
