Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation TrustIpswich Integrated Delivery Team Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in Adult Services – Enhanced Community Pathway – Band 7-8a, 0.6 wte
An exciting opportunity exists within our Community Services. You will join our Integrated Delivery Team (IDT), based in Ipswich, providing secondary mental health services to people across the age ranges. Whilst working within a specific pathway you will have opportunities for collaboration with colleagues from other pathways, disciplines and clinical backgrounds within the Integrated Delivery Team.
This post is part of a highly innovative and continuing developing part of the IDT. We provide services to those clients over the age of 18 who have not always benefited from previous service approaches and there will be a focus on group interventions, assisting integration and linking to existing community resources and developing therapeutic relationships based on resilience and wellness.
Clients who are currently being seen in this pathway tend to fall within three groups: those with depression and anxiety, those with attachment difficulties/emotional regulation problems and those with stable psychotic experiences. For all of these groups access to community resources is often compromised and limited. The client group often present with co-morbid difficulties alongside complex risk issues.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work alongside another psychologist within the team to support multidisciplinary team meetings, reflective practice and learning.
In addition to group work and direct work, you will offer supervision and consultancy to team colleagues.
We would consider newly qualified Clinical Psychologists under a preceptorship arrangement, who have relevant experience and are committed to further developing their skills.
The post will be supported by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with established arrangements for supervision. In addition to this there are regular psychology meetings and internal CPD events. We have strong links with the University of East Anglia. Research interests are encouraged and supported, as is CPD.
