We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated cardiac radiographer (cath lab experience is required) to join the growing and dynamic catheter lab team in our brand new expansion of the Angiosuite.
We have 2 new cardiac catheter labs fitted with state of the art GE systems, where we routinely perform inpatient and outpatient coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, permanent pacemakers and loop recorder insertion. We are currently performing an increasing number of complex coronary interventions (chronic total occlusions) and complex implantable cardiac device implants (Implantable defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation devices).
As such the successful candidate has the opportunity to rapidly develop their skills across two dynamic and rapidly developing interventional and cardiac devices laboratories.
You will be an integral member of the team, whereby participation in the out of hours on call rota is required, to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency in delivering a continuous service of the Angiosuite.
The role can be challenging, with a diverse case load consisting of a range of planned care activities and acutely ill patients, but is also extremely rewarding.
You will work alongside the lead cardiac radiographer covering 4 days a week and undertake on-call for the rescue service in the Angiosuite. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to learn all the responsibilities in managing the imaging side of the angiosuite under the guidance of the superintendent radiographer.
You will undertake modality specific imaging procedures adhering to best practice of radiographic technique. Continued professional development is actively encouraged and supported. The multidisciplinary team is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, technical standard of work and comply with relevant codes of practise.
Full orientation and training will be given.
