In joining the team you would become part of one of the world’s leading global scientific and medical publishers, with staff based in Europe, Asia and the Americas. We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for scientific advancement to develop their publishing career and work alongside some of the best in this field.

As a Journal Coordinator you would have a pivotal role preparing newly acquired journals for launch to ensure the smooth, timely transition of journals and manage editor onboarding and engagement. The Journal Coordinator will work with managers and editorial support staff to ensure that both strategic and technical aspects of set up are achieved in a timely manner. Working with colleagues across the business you’ll gain exposure to all aspects of the academic journal publishing industry. This is the perfect role for a highly organized and methodical person interested in starting a career in Science Publishing.

The Journal Coordinator role is suited to a talented individual educated to degree level, or equivalent, preferably with a scientific background. You’ll be highly organized with experience balancing multiple and potentially conflicting priorities, experience of providing high-quality customer service, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Able to complete projects, working to (often competing) deadlines
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem solving both in daily tasks and more complex trouble-shooting.
