Customer Product Team Support

The customer product team work with all of the account mangers within Corporate, National & Consortia to support them by showcasing our outstanding range of products and grow our sales, gain new customers and retain our existing customers.

The team consists of our development chefs, product sales advisors and customer marketeers.

This role is to support that team to ensure we can work effectively and efficiently to deliver excellent customer presentations.

Experience:

Whilst face to face customer experience is not essential, it certainly helps.

Working effectively with cross functional colleagues is essential and a good understanding of how Brakes works is invaluable.

Ideally 2 years with Brakes (minimum of 1 year) would help in this role.

Knowledge:

The role requires a good knowledge of how our operational network works to understand the art of the possible.

Working closely with the merchandising teams and awareness the process of bringing products to list is beneficial as we are often working with customers to gain input, feedback and early adoption of new lines.

A good understanding of our reporting systems and Excel to help provide information for colleagues and customers.

A really good understanding of food and how our customers use it to thrive

Skills:

Excellent communication skills both verbally or via email to ensure clarity of and consistency our customer and team's needs and any challenges there may be to achieve those.

Planning and coordination of projects where multiple chefs are working with varied customers in many locations and can all be supported

Duties:

Reporting to Paul Hulyer but supporting Cathy Amos across both of our customer facing teams.

Manage and Coordinate kitchen bookings to ensure efficient and effective use of our resources.

Provide monthly customer engagement reports by sector/division

Support the samples process:

directly with non-depot launched NPD lines

indirectly with orders for foodshows where combined orders and recoveries are required

track and report on samples delivery DSL and costings

Where required collate product information, presentations (pre and post session) and recipe specs to assist the team

Collate all foodshow feedback to enable consolidated reporting via finance team and review by customer marketing and merchandising

Liaise with merchandising and cascade important product information to the customer facing team

Support the Gate 1/ NPD process and meetings

Ad hoc requests to facilitate better customer engagement sessions
