Direct Appointments is working closely with a global industrial specialist who requires a number of permanent graduate Electrical Engineers at their site in Gloucester (GL2). The graduate Electrical Engineers will provide support to the Senior Applications Engineers.You will receive onsite coaching.
This is an entry level position for applicants who want to pursue a career in electrical engineering and full training and college funding/tuition will be provided.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate any form of work experience involving electrical or instrumental or motor control or switchgear activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GRADUATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
·Supporting and working closely with the Senior Applications Engineer
·Generating tender packs for submission to clients.
·Developed to produce arrangement drawings and schematics using AutoCad (training would be provided for the right candidate).
·Ordering of parts and equipment.
·Issuing of drawings for manufacture
·Producing final documentation for projects.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE OF THE GRADUATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
·An ONC or OND or HND or Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent technical discipline would be advantageous but not essential, as funding will be provided for the right candidates to attend college/university
·AutoCad experience would be beneficial, but not essential as training would be provided for the right candidate.
·Familiarity with LV Switchgear, motor control principles and control panel design, would be a benefit although not essential
·Excellent communications skills, must be able to communicate at all levels.
·Calm professional manner, but must have a good sense of humour.
·Positive "can do" attitude. With good attention to detail.
·Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
·Microsoft Office computer skills experience are essential.
