Our client is a national charity that supports those affected by imprisonment and their children and families. Position: Play Worker Hours: 10 hours per week (Saturday & Sunday) Salary: £4,550.00 (FTE £17,062.50) Benefits: Generous holiday entitlement, cycle to work scheme, eye care vouchers, free confidential advice and counselling service. Closing date: 19th September 2018 About the role: As a Play Worker at HMP Moorland & Lindholme you will work alongside Her Majesty’s Prison Staff to deliver age appropriate and culturally sensitive play activities including outside activities to ensure that children feel comfortable, safe and secure while visiting their parent in prison. About you: To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of working with children of varying ages providing play activities. Providing a warm welcoming environment to ensure that children, families and prisoners are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy. You will also have a knowledge of safeguarding / child protection practice alongside a knowledge of data protection.
