As a Procurement Analyst at Principality, you will help to manage the procurement of goods and services across the organisation. The role is a development opportunity and perfect for a candidate looking for their first role in the Procurement profession.
The main focus of the role is to manage the administrative tasks of the team which involves reporting and maintaining procurement systems whilst also supporting the members of the procurement team as they conduct market reviews, tender exercises and contract negotiation.
The role holder will work across the Society helping to drive process efficiency, cost reduction and risk mitigation and will build a range of skills and techniques, both procurement and analytical, and be expected to work well with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Communication skills are key in this role as the successful candidate will effectively represent the procurement team in the wider business.
What you will do:
- Production of a range of reports and data analysis including spend analysis; tracking and identifying savings; financial analysis of suppliers’ reports and accounts; generation of MI for Risk and Cost Committees
- Maintain contract database, procurement systems and procedures ensuring all supplier and contract records are accurate
- Support management of the P2P solution providing assistance to internal departments involved in procurement activity
- Supporting the procurement team to manage activity schedules and plans to ensure procurement activity is managed efficiently – gathering business requirements, arranging meetings, supplier presentations and visits; setting up new suppliers; filing contracts; supporting tender exercises, negotiation and contract renewals; helping to manage and review supplier performance
What we are looking for:
The Procurement Analyst will be interested in a career in Procurement and following an academic route to professional status through membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS). They will also be required to demonstrate certain key behavioural competencies that support Principality’s Core Values.
The role holder will be a highly motivated team player who enjoys proactive problem solving and is looking for a new challenge. They will have a high degree of integrity, good commercial acumen and will be able to develop good working relationships with internal stakeholders (at all levels of the organisation) and external suppliers; representing Principality professionally at all times.
