The role:

The Corporate Recovery, Restructuring and Debt Trading practice at Simmons & Simmons sits in our Banking group and is part of our expanding Financial Markets practice. Our team advises on all aspects of rescues, reconstructions, out-of-court restructurings, receiverships, administration, liquidations and international insolvencies. They also advise directors on issues such as wrongful trading and creditors on matters such as the enforcement of security and strategies for debt recovery.

Person/Role specification:

We are seeking an associate with at least 2 years’ experience in Corporate Recovery & Restructuring, within an international City practice. You will have experience of working on non contentious restructuring matters along with general banking experience. Specific experience of rescues and reconstructions, receiverships, wrongful trading and International insolvencies would be advantageous.

  • Excellent academics.
  • Experience in non contentious restructuring and general banking.
  • Strong client focus with an ability and willingness to get actively involved in marketing and business development.
  • Commercially driven.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
