This English Teaching Assistant vacancy is designed for an inventive English graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and already spent time in a role where you worked closely with children. You must be able to show a real passion for education and handle difficult situations professionally. The Headteacher wants to recruit an English Teaching Assistant with a desire to learn and develop their teaching skills in this school and dedicate themselves to a career in teaching.
In this English Teaching Assistant position you will be working throughout the school. You will provide personalised support to pupils for certain elements of the curriculum in small groups or on an one to one basis. You should be able to use your refined understanding of literacy intervention techniques to help implement a range of effective strategies that will help students to improve levels of literacy. Through following the instructions of an Outstanding Teacher, who will act as your personal mentor, you will be given all the training and support to flourish.
