Occupational Therapist

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust have a further opportunity available for Band 5 occupational therapists. We would welcome applications from candidates who are newly qualified. We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Band 5 rotation which offers the chance to gain experience in the acute hospital, community social care, community hospitals, children’s services and older people’s mental health. All staff on the rotation receive regular supervision and have access to a wide range of development opportunities. There is also a proactive clinical development forum for Band 5 occupational therapists and we are currently updating our Preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff.
This post has arisen through promotion.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is a newly integrated organisation which aims to provide high quality, safe health and social care at the right time, in the right place to support the people of Torbay and South Devon to live their lives to the full. The Occupational Therapy Service will be integral to ensuring that this statement of purpose is delivered to our communities. For staff this gives unequalled scope for joint working, skill sharing and learning in a supportive environment.
We believe that we provide an excellent opportunity for Band 5 occupational therapists to develop their skills and gain the foundations for their future careers.
This rotational post offers the possibility to live and work in an attractive area which has easy access to both moor and sea. There are numerous outdoor activities available nearby. Accommodation costs are less than other parts of South Devon. The average price of terraced houses in the area is £168,062. One bedroom flats can be rented for approximately £110 per week and we also have access to keyworker accommodation.
